Trip To Edinburgh

Ciao,

few days are gone since we came back from the Scottish Capital.
All my expectations were definitly met; the city (specially the old part) is very pretty; the match was fantastic and i feel like being part of history now as we were there for the first victory ever of the Italian Rugby Team in the six nations (even though a real piece history was going to be written that same day not far away in Dublin when England faced Ireland in Croke Park); the scottish confirmed to be nice and friendly people and we had the opportunity to meet some very nice characters. And above all it was great fun thanx to all the "fellow trippers" that contributed in their own way to make this weekend special. So thanx to Vicky & Ugo, Vero & Tonino and specially to Shauna for the good time I had.

I definitly recomend Edinburgh to all of you , it's such a beatiful place, plenty of nice buildings, views and pubs and ....... whisky!

Next step is definitly to make a tour of the Scottish countryside to enjoy the beatiful landscape and the real Scotland.

Sono passati alcuni giorni dal ritorno dalla capitale scozzese.
devo dire che tutte le aspettative sono state confermate: la città è splendida (specialmente nella sua parte vecchia arroccata lungo il Royal Mile, ovvero la strada che risalendo unisce il palazzo della Regina al castello di Edinburgo); la partita è stata fantastica e ci siamo sentito un pò parte della storia in quanto si tratta della prima vittoria fuori casa dell'Italia al sei nazioni ( in realtà un vero pezzo di storia sarebbe stato scritto poche ore dopo, poco lontano, a Dublino quando la compagine irlandese avrebbe affrontato gli inglesi a Croke Park), gli scozzesi si sono confermati gente assai amichevole e durante il soggiorno abbiamo avuto modo di fare amicizia con molti simpatici locali sempre prodighi di consigli soprattutto quando si tratta di come bere il whisky. Ma soprattutto il weekend è stato molto divertente grazie soprattutto ai compagni di viaggio che qui ringrazio per aver contribuito ciascuno a suo modo alla realizzazione di un weekend davvero da ricordare.

Il prossimo passo è sicuramente quello di organizzare un tour della Scozia per poter apprezzare i suoi meravigliosi paesaggi e soprattutto fissare nella memoria ciò che la Scozia realmente è.
